Discovery

The TARCA Discovery Service sits at the core of our philosophy to problem resolution, and serves as the starting point upon which an appropriate TARCA service plan can be developed and properly aligned to your business. Before you can make any recommendations about how best to address a problem, you first need to gain a comprehensive understanding of what that problem is!

The TARCA philosophy, of focussing on the end-user experience follows a dual-pronged approach. In addition to investigating the networking infrastructure, we also advocate interviewing a select cross-section of stake-holders. This will typically include members of the technical and business staff from your IT function as well as a cross-section of the user community. This approach not only reveals details of the infrastructure from a technical and commercial perspective, but also provides an insight into what the symptoms are from the user perspective – in our experience, taking a broad consultative approach, rather than just jumping straight in to interrogate the network, is often overlooked at this important ‘Information discovery’ stage.

Deployment of the TARCA Discovery Service will quickly uncover the issues (through its alignment with both the business and technical functions), develop the appropriate resolution action plan and, by informing the subsequent TARCA services, enable effective and timely implementation of a solution that best-fits your business objectives and time-scales.
